This policy (together with the end-user licence agreement and any additional terms of use incorporated by reference into the end-user licence agreement), applies to your use of the mobile game “Swivlex” (Game), once you have downloaded a copy of the Game onto your mobile phone or handheld device (Device).
In this policy, "we", "us" or "our" refers to Word Person Games Limited, a company registered in England whose registered office is Egale 1, 80 St. Albans Road, Watford, United Kingdom, WD17 1DL. This policy sets out the basis on which any information we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. For the purpose of this policy, information means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual. This Game is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.
Information we collect
We collect information from you directly when you play the Game, and also generate information about your use of the Game, including game play and log data. We may also receive information from third parties such as social media platforms and fraud detection providers.
We will collect and use the following information about you:
· Registration information: for example, you may be asked to provide your date of birth, email address and/or a password.
· Information you provide when using the Game: when you play the Game, we may ask you to choose a username. Also, if you choose to invite your friends to play the Game, we will collect the email address of your friends. (Please make sure you have permission from your friends before sharing information relating to your friends with us.)
· Identifiers, such as your IP address, device and app ID, city level location data and device information (such as model and operating system).
· Information you generate and display when playing the Game, such as profile photos and chat content.
· Information regarding your use of the Game: we integrate the analytics software, Google Analytics, provided by Google, Inc. which is based in the US. Google Analytics provides reports that help us optimise features in the Game and these reports include your user ID and information on activity in the Game.
We also collect, use and share aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Aggregated data could be derived from your information but is not considered personal data in law as this data will not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. However, if we combine or connect aggregated data with your information so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we treat the combined data as information which will be used in accordance with this privacy policy.
How we use your personal information
· We will use your information to perform our contractual obligation towards you to allow you to create an account, play the Game and remember your progress in the Game. The information we process when doing so includes your registration information, information you provide to us when playing the Game, identifiers, information you generate and display when playing the Game, and information regarding your use of the Game.
· Improve and monitor the Game: It is in our legitimate interests to improve the Game for players. When doing so, we may collect information we automatically collect or is generated about you when you play the Game, as well as non-personal information about your device such as battery, Wi-Fi strength, device, model and operating system, and the amount of free space on your device.
· Conduct analytics: It is in our legitimate interests to analyse the use of the Game. When doing so we will process information we automatically collect or is generated about you when you play the Game to create anonymised and aggregated data.
· Prevent fraud, defend us against legal claims or disputes, enforce our terms and to comply with our legal obligations. It is in our legitimate interests to protect our interests by (i) monitoring use of the Game to detect fraud or any other user behaviour which prejudices the integrity of the Game, (ii) taking steps to remedy such fraud and behaviour, (iii) defending ourselves against legal claims or disputes, and (iv) enforcing our terms and policies.
Who we share your personal information with
We may share your information with selected third parties, including:
· Cloud service providers who we rely on for data storage, including Amazon Web Services who are based in the U.S.
· Analytics providers. We work with Google Analytics: This is provided by Google, Inc. which is based in the US.
· Law enforcement agencies, public authorities or other judicial bodies and organisations: We disclose information if we are legally required to do so, or if we have a good faith belief that such use is reasonably necessary to comply with a legal obligation, process or request; enforce our terms of service and other agreements, policies, and standards, including investigation of any potential violation of them; detect, prevent or otherwise address security, fraud or technical issues; or protect the rights, property or safety of us, our users, a third party or the public as required or permitted by law.
Where we process your personal information
Your information will be processed by our employees
and service providers in the European Economic Area (EEA). Some of our
providers are located outside of the EEA such as the United States. We take
steps to ensure all transfers are protected by adequate safeguards, including
the use of standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission,
and, where appropriate, our business partners adhering to
the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield framework for transfers from the EEA
to the U.S.
Data security
Although we have in place security measures to maintain the privacy and integrity of your information, unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. We may also take extra steps to protect your information and minimise the information we process.
How long we store your information
We will only keep your information for as long as is necessary. We will keep your information for as long as you are registered or using the Game, and then for up to 3 years from the date you stop interacting with the Game.
Your rights
You may have rights to access, receive a copy of, or delete, your information
or restrict processing of your data.
Changes to the Privacy Policy
Any updates or changes to this Policy will be published here. If there are any significant changes, we will notify you through the Game.
